Arise my love

This is a great refreshing classic cocktail. It belongs to a family of drinks named after motion picture and motion picture stars such as the Mary Pickford, Charlie Chapman, and Douglas Fairbanks. This drink was named after the 1941 film "Arise my Love". Here is a printing of this cocktail:

"ARISE MY LOVE 1 tsp. Crème de Menthe (Green) Champagne, chilled Put Crème de Menthe into champagne flute."

It is unclear when this drink was created or even where. It is determined it was invented after 1941 and has always contained green creme de menthe and champagne. Literature would suggest that the sugar cube would be soaked in green creme de menthe, such as the champagne cocktail. Although, there is no enough hard evidence to support this claim.
